Facilities & Packages

We offer bespoke packages based on your requirements; how long you want to spend in the saddle, type of accommodation you prefer on or off farm, extra lessons from Katharine Martin, a clay pigeon lesson or exploring the Lake District while we look after your horse.  This is a flavour of what we can offer.....

Facilities at Sunbiggin Farm

Stabling & Fields

  • 5* Stables for your horse x 10

  • All feed & bedding provided

  • Fields & paddocks available

Accommodation

  • Our packages offer you flexibility.  Choose between, bunkhouse with a cosy chill out area, with hot drinks, fridge, WIFI, sofa, toilet and basin.   

  • You may to stay in your own wagon.

  • Our campsite with stunning views.

  • Our local pub has comfortable rooms only 3 miles away.

Menage & extra lessons

  • All weather surface manège with show and rustic jumps available 

  • We work closely with Katharine Martin Equine Tuition who can add extra skills to your holiday.  She offers Classical Dressage, Pole Work, Show Jumping, Grids, Cross Country, Side Saddle, Working Equitation.  Find out more about Kath here.

Private parking & Tack room

  • Private gated parking for your wagon and vehicles.

  • A securely locked tack room for your equipment.

2 day package example from £175 pp based min 2 people

  • DAY 1 Arrive from 10am, settle horses in.

  • Saddle up and enjoy a days guide ride out 3 to 4 hours, enjoy a picnic/pub lunch.

  • We will settle your horses in for the evening.

  • BBQ/Bar meal/Meal in the Farmhouse

  • DAY 2 We will wake your horses and look after them.

  • Breakfast, full English in the Farmhouse

  • Options include: guided ride, explore on your own, a lesson with Kath (subject to availability). 

  • Home time :(

3 day package example from £275 pp based min 2 people

  • DAY 1 Arrive 1pm onwards, settle horses in.

  • Time for a guided ride in the surrounding area or enjoy a walk on the local fells.  Tea & Cake.

  • We will see to your horses.

  • Evening meal in the farmhouse

  • DAY 2 we can see your horses

  • Breakfast on your timetable, it's your holiday.  Full English in the Farmhouse.

  • Saddle up and a days guided hacking with picnic or pub lunch.  Maybe a stop at the Orton chocolate factory for ice creams.

  • Tea & Cake

  • We will put your horses to bed.

  • BBQ or bar meal at the pub

  • DAY 3

  • Breakfast 

  • Explore the area on your horse, a clay pigeon lesson, go and explore the lake while we look after your horse.

  • Home time :(
